TE RADAR’S ANTARCTICANA
SATURDAY 27 JULY
Hilarious True Tales from the Frozen South
Following his trip to Antarctica with the Our Far South television documentary, Te Radar presents Te Radar’s Antarcticana, an illustrated comedic lecture on all things Antarctic. The rigours of scurvy, scientific madness, odd flora and fauna, and the even odder folk who have been there. There are tales of people trying to perform surgery in isolated areas, amusing research projects, travel difficulties and the reaction of penguins to bagpipe music.
Te Radar asks questions you never thought of and provides answers you never realised you wanted to hear about the land Captain Scott called ‘An Awful Place’.
